Principal Announced for Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School, Springfield Lakes - 01 February 2012
The new Catholic primary school to open at Springfield Lakes in 2013 has announced its foundation Principal. Judith Seery will take up the position in April this year, to enrol students, oversee construction and prepare the school to open at the start of next year. From 2005 to 2011, she was Principal of St Anthony’s School, Alexandra Hills – one of the largest Catholic primary schools in south-east Queensland. Ms Seery says she is looking forward to the task ahead.
USQ Springfield announces mid year scholarships - 14 October 2011
USQ has announced the recipients of three scholarships at the 2011 Springfield Scholarships Mid Year Awards recently at the Springfield campus.

USQ have invited Western Corridor, Brisbane and Toowoomba region Indigenous artists to submit artworks for a NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) exhibition to be held at the Springfield campus from the Monday 4 to Saturday 30 July.
Springfield High School opening signals education boom - 23 May 2011
The opening of the Springfield Central's new high school marks an important milestone in the education boom at Greater Springfield, the gateway to the Western Corridor. Springfield Land Corporation Deputy Managing Director Raynuha Sinnathamby applauded the State Government for investing in education in the high-growth region. "I offer my congratulations to the State Government and to Education Queensland," Ms Sinnathamby said.
