Presented by: Catholic Education Queensland
Date: 31 March 2012, Time:  12:30pm
Location: Springfield Lakes Community Centre, Springfield Lakes Boulevard
The new Catholic primary school that will open next year in Springfield Lakes will hold a Community Information Day for prospective students and parents on Saturday 31 March. Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School will be a co-educational primary school serving Springfield Lakes, New Beith and Greenbank, and will be located adjacent on the corner of Springfield Central Boulevard and Grande Avenue, Springfield Lakes. On Saturday 31 March, Principal Judith Seery and members of the Steering Committee will outline the educational philosophy of the college, the planned curriculum, enrolment process, school fees and building plans. The new school’s uniform will also be displayed.. Families intending to enrol in Prep or Years 1, 2 or 3 in 2013 are urged to attend, as enrolment application forms will be available along with other relevant documentation. Parents will be able to lodge their enrolment applications on the day, if they wish. Parents wishing to apply for places for 2014 and beyond will also be able to do so. Principal Judith Seery said places at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School were expected to fill quickly. “With such rapid development in Springfield Lakes and the greater Springfield region, we believe Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School will prove very popular and will take pressure off other schools in the region,” she said. “We invite parents and families interested in enrolling in 2013 and 2014, in particular, to attend the Community Information Day to find out more about the college and lodge their applications.” The Information Day will be held at the Springfield Lakes Community Centre, Springfield Lakes Boulevard, at 12.30pm on Saturday. Refreshments will be available.
