With road connection via the Centenary Highway, Education City is easily accessed fro a number of key locations:

  • Brisbane CBD (30 minutes)
  • Gold Coast (50 minutes)
  • Ipswich (20 minutess)
  • Brisbane International Airport (40 minutes)

Work has commenced on a rail link from Brisbane to Greater Springfield with the first stage to Richlands already completed.

The last stage to Springfield when completed in 2013 will anable students direct access to Education City via John Nugent Way.

The new Catholic primary school to open at Springfield Lakes in 2013 has announced its foundation Principal. Judith Seery will take up the position in April this year, to enrol students, oversee construction and prepare the school to open at the start of next year. From 2005 to 2011, she was Principal of St Anthony’s School, Alexandra Hills – one of the largest Catholic primary schools in south-east Queensland. Ms Seery says she is looking forward to the task ahead.
